Bulgaria's Geomix Engineering opens pig farm in Yambol

A pig farm and a fodder production unit in the town of Yambol, in Bulgaria's southeast have been opened by a local company Geomex Engineering, the agriculture ministry said on Monday (May 28).

The total value of the investment exceeds BGN6 million (US$3.9 million), the ministry said in a statement.

The project received financing from the EU structural funds.

Geomex Engineering has a population of more than 10,000 pigs, 270 cows and 200 sheep and farms 1,700 hectares of land.
