Argentina's 2006/07 wheat sales at 8.8 million tonnes

Argentina's 2006/07 wheat sales totalled 8.805 million tonnes as of May 28, unchanged since March, the Agriculture Secretariat said Monday (May 28).

In March, the government closed the registry for new wheat exports in the face of soaring export declarations.

By this time last year, Argentina had sold 7 million tonnes of 2005/06 wheat.

The Secretariat provided the following information for 2006/07 and 2005/06 wheat sales in thousands of tonnes by destination.
