China's grain prices stable in April but up 9.5 percent on-year
China's grain prices remained stable in April, according to the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC).
Purchase prices for paddy, wheat and corn from state enterprises averaged RMB 75.4 per 50 kg in April, up 0.2 percent over March, and the marketing prices of RMB 78.5 was up 0.3 percent.
However, this was a 8.8 percent and 9.5 percent increase on purchase and marketing prices respectively when compared to April last year, the commission said.
