Cobb Africa appoints new broiler technical manager
Egg and broiler supplier, Cobb Africa, has appointed Jose Luis Losada Torres as the company's broiler technical manager.
A veteran with 13 years of experience in the Brazilian broiler industry, Torres was based in the Goias (Brazil) complex of food company, Pif Paf Alimentos, and overlooked the firm's contract growers, technical team, abattoir logistical planning, and matters concerning bird catching and quality.
Torres has a veterinary degree at the Federal University of Parana, an MBA in business management at Getulio Vargas Foundation, and post-graduate qualification in poultry chain management.
Cobb Africa was formed in 2009 to serve the Sub Saharan African market, with the exception of South Africa.
