China's fertiliser makers gain US$1.21 billion in January-March 2012
From January to March 2012, the Chinese fertiliser producers reported a profit of RMB7.65 billion (US$1.21 billion), 2.5% higher on-year, according to the National Development and Reform Commission.
From January to April China produced 23.46 million tonnes of chemical fertilisers, up 15.3% from the same period of last year, according to the website of the National Development and Reform Commission.
In the period the country's output of nitrogen fertiliser, phosphate fertiliser and potash increased 11.8%, 25.6% and 16.2% on-year, respectively.
