China imports more fishmeal in April

 

 

China imported 133,074 tonnes of fishmeal in April, up 10.5 percent from March, and a 29 percent rise from the same period last year.

 

Imports in April came mostly from:

 

Peru:     79,383 tonnes;

 

Chile:     16,102 tonnes;

 

US:       10,271 tonnes

 

For the period from January to April 2007, China's fishmeal imports totalled 352,752 tonnes, up 9.2 percent on-year.
