Weak livestock industry softens China calcium phosphate prices
Prices were lower during the period in review.
Even though the H7N9 bird flu epidemic situation showed signs of improving, the hog and poultry sectors recovered slowly as farmers who suffered heavy losses were cautious in building inventories. Hence, calcium phosphate producers cut prices to entice buyers while raw ingredients costs stayed low.
Feed demand should recover at a faster pace in the coming period, lending some support to calcium phosphate prices.
