Vietnam's seafood exports' earnings likely up
Vietnam is estimated to have earned US$2.131 million from exporting seafood in the first five months of this year, an on-year rise of 31.1%.
In May, the country's seafood exports are expected at US$520 million, compared to US$463 million in April, according to the government's General Statistics Office (GSO).
During Jan-May, the Southeast Asian country has spent US$182 million on imports of aquatic materials, including $40 million in May.
Exports of seafood brought about US$5 billion to Vietnam last year. The country expects the exports to rise to US$5.5 billion this year.
