Postavy Dairy's export rises in January-April 2011
In January-April 2011, Postavy Dairy's production amounted BYR20 billion (US$6.6 million) or 24% over the same period of 2010.
The export accounted for 27% of the sales profits and the energy saving index is -10.5%.
The main importers of the company's products were Russia, Poland, and Germany. Postavy Dairy delivered 42 tonnes of butter and 91 tonnes of cheese to the Russian Federation. Some 119 and 40 tonnes of casein were shipped to Poland and Germany respectively. The forecast for May stands at BYR3 million (US$100,000) or 39% up over the level of January-May 2010. The experts at the company say that the slow growth is caused by the considerable batches of dairy products that had been shipped in May 2010.
In January-April 2011 the volume of capital investments was more than BYR700 million (US$229,900). The figure is expected to stand at BYR36 billion (US$11.8 million) by the end of the year. The company plans to implement a large-scale project this year to build a new cheese-making facility with a capacity of 20 tonnes a day. The design and estimate documentation is being worked out at the moment. It is planned to be sent for examination in June, and the company will be able to get down to the construction works in August or September.
The company also upgraded its waste treatment facilities.
Postavy Dairy produces cheeses, whole milk, casein, ice cream, mayonnaise. The production lineup of the company features more than 40 items that include 20 whole milk products. The company employs more than 280 persons.
