US sells 168,000 tonnes of corn to Mexico

 

 

Private exporters reported to the USDA that export sales of corn for delivery to Mexico during the 2011/2012 marketing year amounted 168,000 tonnes, according to the USDA on Thursday (May 26).

 

The 2011/2012 marketing year for corn begins September 1.

 

US exporters are required to report to the USDA any export sales activity of 100,000 tonnes or more of one commodity made in one day or quantities totalling 200,000 tonnes or more in any reporting period to one destination the next business day, according to the USDA's Foreign Agricultural Service. Any export sales under these quantities must be reported on a weekly basis.
