Ireland reports continuous cattle price increases

Ireland's cattle prices have continuously moved upward despite an increase in the supply of cattle to factories.

Cattle prices have showed further gains with up to 6c/kg more being offered for stock yesterday.

Prices at the southern based factories made the strongest gains on Monday while the midland-based plants were showing more resistance to paying more for stock.

Most of the Irish factories are willing to pay 3-6c/kg more for heifers than for the bullocks.

Meanwhile, cow prices are unchanged which are up to 302c/kg.
