Sharper increase in China methionine prices
Prices of methionine rose prominently during the week ending May 26.
As the demand for methionine strengthened under expanding poultry feed output, prices surged at a faster rate during the period in review.
Liquid methionine* quotes in the general market increased to the range of RMB22-23.50/kg.
Methionine prices will continue to rally as livestock feed demand is poised to increase.
