Myronivskyi Khliboprodukt to maintain poultry meat output
Myronivskyi Khliboprodukt, one of the largest poultry meat producers based in Kyiv, has plans for 2011 to maintain poultry meat output at the 2010 levels, which is 360,000 tonnes, said deputy chairman of the board Yurii Melnik.
"Under our strategic plans, the next three years must be stable in terms of chicken meat production… at the level of 360,000 tonnes," he said.
Melnik said that starting from 2012, this figure may increase slightly when they expect first bedding of birds at the under-construction Vinnytsia poultry production unit.
The first phase of this poultry unit is due to be commissioned in 2013, its poultry meat production capacity 220,000 tonnes a year, and, respectively, poultry meat output will increase by 50,000 tonnes thanks to these facilities.
Commissioning of the second phase of 220,000 tonnes a year is planned for 2015. In a more distant future of 2017 or 2018, the company plans to produce 800,000 tonnes of poultry meat a year.
In 2010, Myronivskyi Khliboprodukt pushed up sales of chicken meat by 21.4% or 58,500 tonnes, compared to 2009, to 331,400 tonnes.
Myronivskyi Khliboprodukt is a vertically integrated complex of enterprises that produce poultry meat, incubation eggs and fodder, and breed bovine cattle for processing.
The company produces poultry meat under the Nasha Riaba trademark, semi-finished meat products under the Lehko trademark, sausages and smoked meat products under the Druzhba Narodiv, Baschynskyi and Europroduct trademarks, beef delicacy under the Certified Angus trademark, chilled and frozen goose meat, and goose liver delicacy under the Foie Gras trademark.
Company chief executive officer, Yurii Kosiuk, holds 65% of the shares in Myronivskyi Khliboprodukt, the remaining shares are in free circulation on the London Stock Exchange.
