France gives nod to GM crops planting

 
 

France finally approved on Thursday the law that permits GM crop planting, after rounds of political discussions.

 

Previously, there were no genetically modified crops approved for planting in France.

 

However, an area that contained GM corn from a US biotech company did exist, but was forbidden in February.
