Russia's grain export to reach 27.3 million tonnes
By the end of the season, Russia may export the major grains at the level of 27.3 million tonnes, according to CJSC's "Rusagrotrans".
During July -April of 2011/12 MY, Russia already exported nearly 24.5 million tonnes of basic grains.
Last month, Russia's grain exports amounted to 2.1 million tonnes against 1.77 million tonnes in March 2012, according to "Rusagrotrans".
The increase was caused by activation of grain export from the small ports of the South, which accumulated significant grain cargoes at their elevators during the period of the absence of navigation. Their share of grain exports in April totalled 831,000 tonnes or 40% (in March - 92,000 tonnes, or 5%).
The forecast of grain exports for May and June 2012 totals 1.4 million tonnes each. The reporting volume will be also provided at the expense of the share of grains sold during the process of the public trading interventions (1.07 million tonnes in regions of the Southern and North Caucasian Federal Districts).
