South Africa's April corn stocks fall to 1.002 million tonnes
By the end of April, the corn supplies of South Africa dropped to 1.002 million tonnes compared with a revised 1.286 million tonnes by the end of March, according to data on Wednesday (May 23).
The stocks included 523,000 tonnes of white corn and 479,000 tonnes of yellow, the South African Grain Information Service said in its monthly bulletin.
It said total exports reached 2.572 million tonnes at the end of April.
