China state sells 23% corn in auction
China sold a total of 137,807 tonnes of state corn reserves in an auction in Anhui province Tuesday (May 24), sources reported.
It sold 136,187 tonnes of corn in the first batch at an average price of RMB1,912 (US$294), accounting for 22.9% of that which was auctioned.
It sold 1,620 tonnes of corn in the second batch at an average price of RMB1,952 (US$300), accounting for 22.86% of that which was auctioned.
