China's April wheat imports at 3,464 tonnes; down 95 percent on-year
China's wheat imports in April fell 95 percent on year to 3,464 tonnes, the General Administration of Customs said Friday (May 25).
Total wheat imports in January-April reached 66,012 tonnes, down 69 percent on year.
The customs data also showed that the country imported 2.65 million tonnes of soybean, 211,233 tonnes of soyoil, and 435,783 tonnes of palm oil, up 3.2 percent up 65 percent and up 25 percent on year, respectively.
Corn exports in April rose sharply to total578,553 tonnes.
