Taiwan Sugar Corp buys US corn, soybeans in tender
Taiwan Sugar Corp bought 23,000 tonnes of US-origin corn and 12,000 tonnes of soybeans from trading house Agrex in a tender concluded Wednesday (May 24), a trader in Taipei said.
Taiwan Sugar will buy 10,000 tonnes corn at US$154.47/tonne and 13,000 tonnes at 143.25 cents a bushel above the July contract traded on the Chicago Board of Trade.
The soybeans will be supplied at US$256.91/tonne.
Both the corn and soybean shipments are expected to arrive in Taiwan Jun 11-25.
