Bird flu not likely to arrive at Australia
Australia has a low risk of bird flu arriving in the country at this juncture.
Migrating geese had earlier been found dead after carrying the disease into China.
Health experts have said that migratory birds were not likely to bring the disease to Australia. Instead, there is a higher risk of the flu evolving such that humans could carry the virus.
They added that the risk is generally low as the disease is currently not spreading human-to-human. But the world could be at risk of bird flu in near future.
