Blue ear disease affects Vietnam's Northern Province
Hundreds of pigs across Vietnam's northern province of HoaBinh have been affected by blue ear disease, state media reported.
With the new infection in HoaBinh, the blue ear disease is reported to occur in five northern provinces in Vietnam. Other four provinces are Dien Bien, BacNinh, QuangNinh, and Lai Chau.
The disease was reported to infect 50 pigs in the HoaBinhBreedingCenter and 200 pigs in several communes in Luong Son district.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has ordered the local authorities to apply proper measures to prevent the disease from further spread.
Over 21,000 pigs were affected with the disease across the country so far this year, the ministry said.
