Ukraine's average grain, oilseeds buying cost remain unchanged
From May 12 to 18, the usual purchasing prices for Ukraine's grains and oilseeds did not change compared with the previous week, and continued to be stable, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food announced on May 21.
According to the Ministry, in particular, as of May 18 the average purchasing price for 3-grade wheat totalled UAH1,743 /tonne (US$215.85), 4-grade wheat - UAH1,686/tonne (US$209), 6-grade - UAH1,608/tonne (US$199) (down 1%).
The average purchasing price of corn in Ukraine totalled UAH1,723/tonne (US$213), which corresponds to the previous week level. At the same time, in Chernivtsi oblast corn prices reduced by 10% - to UAH1,700/tonne (US$211).
The price of 3-grade barley remained at the previous week level, and totalled UAH1,662 /tonne (US$206), the prices of sunflower seed - UAH4,065/tonne (US$503).
The average purchasing price for rapeseed grew by 1% during the period, and totalled UAH4,401/tonne (US$545).
The price of buckwheat decreased by 1% compared to the previous week - to UAH4,766 /tonne (US$590).
