China's April soy imports stand at 3.88 million tonnes
China's soy imports in April fell 7.6% from a year earlier to 3.88 million tonnes, although the monthly volume rose about 10% from a month ago, the General Administration of Customs said Monday (May 23).
Total imports in the January-April period fell 2.6% to 14.84 million tonnes, the data showed, confirming data released earlier this month.
China is the world's biggest importer of soy and gets most of its supplies from the US, Brazil and Argentina, the world's top producers.
