Chile maintains ISA-free status

The Chilean National Fisheries Service (Sernapesca) latest update on the Infectious Salmon Anemia (ISA) virus situation shows no outbreaks in the country for the seventh week in a row.

Sernapesca's report also describes five suspected sites, located in the 11th and 12th regions.

According to Sernapesca's "suspect site" definition, there is one site pertaining to the producer company Acuimag which have cages with results from laboratory positive for ISA virus but without clinical disease manifestation in the 12th Region, according to reports.

Besides, four sites pertaining to Cupquelán are suspects sites of HPR0 (avirulent strain) in the 11th Region.

Likewise, the weekly report details that there are 23 total sites under sanitary fallow (previously outbreaks or suspect sites but currently without fish); and non-site in category of risk (without presence or clinical disease manifestation but located within an infected area).
