Haccpper Advantec develops equipment to fight bird flu

Haccpper Advantec Corp has developed equipment for cleaning of poultry houses to guard against the highly pathogenic H7N1 and H5N1 bird flu strains, the Nikkei Business Daily reported in its Wednesday (May 24) edition.

The new equipment employs a neutralised solution made by mixing dilute hydrochloric acid in sodium hypochlorite, which has anti-microbial effects. The neutralisation enhances stability and increases the effects over those of using sodium hypochlorite alone.

These two food additives have virtually no effect on humans and poultry. The equipment will also be economical to introduce.

The new equipment is installed in a poultry house and sprays out a solution that is diluted with water.
