Taiwan's MFIG buys 60,000 tonnes US corn in tender

Taiwan's Members Feed Industry Group (MFIG) has bought 60,000 tonnes of US-origin corn from Cargill in a tender concluded Tuesday (May 23), a Taipei trader said.

Cargill will supply 18,919 tonnes at US$143.85/tonne and the remaining 41,081 tonnes at a premium of 99.9 US cents per bushel above the September contract price traded on the Chicago Board of Trade.

The shipment will arrive in Taiwan Jun 28-Jul 12 if it is to be shipped from the US Gulf or Jul 13-27 if it is shipped from the Pacific Northwest.
