Bird flu awareness to be heightened in Cambodia
A nationwide campaign to disseminate information on bird flu was recently launched in Cambodia. This move aimed to heighten vigilance and awareness for the spread of the deadly virus.
As of May 19, radio and TV stations across the country will broadcast free programmes on bird flu.
The programme includes a description of bird flu's symptoms, its effects on human health, as well as preventive measures. People are urged to go to hospital and report to the relevant authorities immediately if they fall ill with bird flu-like symptoms.
