Chuying Agro-pastoral to put up US$320-million pig base

Chuying Agro-pastoral Group Co., Ltd. would construct a pig industrial base project in Weihui of Xinxiang City with an annual production capacity of one million tonnes, the company announced on May 22.

Based on the announcement, if supporting environmental protection facilities are taken into consideration, the project will totally cost RMB2.02 billion (US$0.32 billion). The project mainly includes a RMB1.43 billion (US$0.23 billion) commercial pig plant with annual output being one million, a feed plant with annual output being 400,000 tonnes, an organic fertiliser processing plant with annual output being 220,000 tonnes, a slaughtering plant with annual capacity being one million tonnes, a food processing plant with annual capacity being 15,000 tonnes and green vegetable base totally costing RMB590 million (US$93.23 million).

The company will set up a wholly-owned subsidiary Xinxiang Chuying Agro-pastoral Co., Ltd. to be in charge of this new project.
