Brazil's Perdigao nears completion to buy Holland's Plusfood

Brazilian meat processor Perdigao is about to complete the acquisition of the Holland based Plusfood, a US$30 million investment that would secure the firm a major foothold in Europe.

Due diligence is underway in Plusfood, a meat processing company with a strong presence in the supply of meat to food services, controlled by Cebeco Group. The company has the brands Friki and Fribo, widely distributed and known in Europe and used to import meat from Brazil.
