Philippine pig production rise 1.25% in Q1

Pig production in the Philippines rose 1.25% in the first quarter of 2014, according to the Philippine Bureau of Agricultural Statistics (BAS).

BAS data showed that the country's pig production reached 481,710 tonnes, compared to 475,750 tonnes in the same period of last year.

Average price also rose by 4.58% on-year to USS2.26/kg.
