China Lysine Weekly: Poor demand from hog sector weakens lysine market (week ended May 18, 2012)
Lysine market was weak as hog producers were reluctant to stock inventories with profits dwindling amid falling hog prices. Moreover, producers negotiated prices willingly in efforts to clear rising inventories. In Europe, spot prices of lysine were at EUR1.93-1.96/kg.
