Russia may export up to a million tonnes grain until July

Russia can export 800,000 to one million tonnes of grains in addition to 25 million tonnes until the end of the current season, reported the Deputy Agriculture Minister, Ilya Shestakov.

In his opinion, the exports of grain has now reached about 25 million tonnes since the beginning of the season (July 1, 2011), and now the rates of supply of grain abroad have slowed.

Earlier the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation predicted grain exports in the current season up to 27 million tonnes.

He also noted that the sowing campaign in Russia has accelerated paces, and there are no problems with the financing of farmers, as well as providing them with fuel, lubricants and other resources.

In addition, the volume of the damaged winter crops this year is less than a year ago and is about 6%.

There were no rains in the southern regions of Russia. And moisture in the soil decreased. In addition, the problematic situation is in the Altai. At the same time, production of grains is predicted at 94-95 million tonnes.
