Thai Feed Weekly: Thai cassava price up, but short of government target (week ended May 14, 2012)
Tight supply, along with the weakening of the Thai currency, has driven up the local price of soy since February. Soy yields in Brazil and Argentina were earlier thought to drop to 120 million tonnes this year, from 124.50 million tonnes in 2011, amid droughts caused by the El Nino phenomenon.
