Japan's compound feed production takes an upturn

Japan's total compound feed production rose 5.4% in March from a year earlier to 2.172 million tonnes, according to data from the Agriculture Ministry.

In February, total output of compound feed for animals inched up 0.6% from a year earlier to 1.925 million tonnes.

Japan is the world's biggest importer of corn, the main ingredient in animal feed in Japan. The US is its main supplier of corn for feed use.
