US meat company recalls frozen pork sausage products

Wayne Provision Co., from Vernon, California, is recalling approximately 2,075 pounds of frozen pork sausage products as they may contain undeclared allergens, hydrolysed soy and whey, the US Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced.

Hydrolysed soy and whey are known allergens, which are not declared on the label.

The following products are subject to recall, 5-pound bags of 1.6-ounce bulk links of "BREAKFAST SAUSAGE" and 5-pound bags of bulk "BREAKFAST SAUSAGE."

The problem was discovered by FSIS during a routine product inspection. FSIS has received no reports of illness due to consumption of these products.
