China bans Netherlands' poultry and poultry product imports
China has banned imports of poultry and poultry products from the Netherlands' Gelderland province due to an outbreak of the Newcastle disease virus, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (GAQSIQ) said late Tuesday (May 19).
The Netherlands reported the outbreak of the disease to the World Organization for Animal Health on March 25, according to a joint statement by GAQSIQ and the Ministry of Agriculture.
