New Zealand's dairy farm sales increase

In the three months ended April 2013, New Zealand's dairy farm sales picked up, with 87 properties sold compared to 83 in the three months ended March and 68 properties a year ago.

The average sales price per hectare in the three months to April 2013 was NZD34,819 (US$28,000) compared to NZD35,487 (US$29,000) in the three months ended March, according to data from the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand (REINZ).
