Chinese provinces adopt measures to support poultry industry
Measures to aid the local poultry industry, which has suffered serious financial losses since the outbreak of bird flu early this year, have been adopted by a number of provinces in China, including Henan, Shandong and Guangxi provinces.
This is according to a statement by the Ministry of Agriculture on its website on Friday (May 10).
According to the ministry, so far 10 provinces in China have implemented measures. These include subsidies to farmers and processing companies, the ministry said.
