Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh City bans poultry farming temporarily
Farmers in Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh City have been asked to stop stop raising poultry starting November 2005 to February 2006, to prevent an reoccurrence of bird flu
The city's Department of Agriculture and Urban Development have asked authorities to enforce the safety and hygiene of poultry and other preventative measure to ensure the avian influenza would not return during its peak period, which falls around the Lunar New Year holiday.
