New US soy organisation to aid exports

Farmers and industry members gathered together for the inaugural meeting of the newly formed the US Soybean Export Council (USSEC).

The USSEC is governed by 19 representatives from the American Soybean Association, the United Soybean Board and U.S. soybean exporters and allied industry. Its aim is to implement international market development activities and create an industry-wide entity that responds quickly to the global marketplace.

In 1991, after the inception of the national soybean check-off, ASA and USB began working together to build international markets and increase competitiveness for U.S. soybean producers.
