EU grants 197,950 tonnes intervention wheat export licenses
The European Union Thursday (May 18) granted licenses to export 197,950 tonnes of wheat and 55,482 tonnes of rye from intervention stores, EU figures show.
The intervention wheat licenses included 166,473 tonnes for Germany at EUR107.01/tonne; 22,664 tonnes for France at EUR108.01/tonne; and 8,813 tonnes for Slovakia at EUR103.01/tonne.
Wheat intervention bids for Poland and Sweden were rejected.
All of the licenses for intervention rye were for Germany at EUR61.25/tonne.
All bids to export intervention barley from Hungary, Lithuania and Czech Republic were rejected.
