Ukraine's grain supplies volume surpass 2011 by 65%

 

 

The grains stocks in Ukraine's agricultural firms (except small) and those engaged in its storage and processing totalled 13.7 million tonnes as of May, 1, 2012, 65% higher against on-year, reported the State Statistics Committee.

 

According to its data, as of the reported date, in particular, wheat stocks were 6.1 million tonnes, barley - 1.3 million tonnes of corn - 5.6 million tonnes, rye - 0.2 million tonnes. Directly in agricultural enterprises by May 1, grain stocks totalled 6.1 million tonnes, up 89% more than a year ago, including wheat - 2.6 million tonnes, barley - 0.9 million tonnes, corn - 2, 2 million tonnes of rye - 0.1 million tonnes. Companies engaged in storage and processing of grain, had in stocks 7.6 million tonnes of grains, up 50% a year ago.

 

According to State Statistics Committee, the stocks of sunflower seeds amounted to 2.4 million tonnes as of May, 1, up 26% from the same date last year. Directly the agricultural enterprises stocked 0.7 million tonnes (up 87%), and enterprises engaged in processing and storage - 1.7 million tonnes (10%).
