Ukraine exports nearly 950,000 tonnes of grains
Ukraine exported around 950,000 tonnes of grain, including 700,000 tonnes of corn, 130,000 tonnes of barley and 120 000 tonnes of wheat, by May 15, the General Director of the Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation, Sergei Stoyanov, informed.
The grain export paces from Ukraine in May 2012 were significantly slower than in the previous months (2.4-2.5 million tonnes).
According to him, total exports of Ukrainian grain is slightly more than 19.5 million tonnes that is the reason of increase of the forecast of exports to 22 million tonnes in the season-2011/12.
At the same time, the ending stocks can exceed 12 million tonnes, which are the unprecedented stocks for the last 20 years.
