Ukraine to produce 12.48 million tonnes oilseeds in 2012-13

At the conference "Ukrainian market of soy-2012" in Yalta, the General Director of "Ukroliyaprom", Stepan Kapshuk predicted that in 2012-13 marketing year, Ukraine will produce 12.48 million tonnes of the main varieties of oilseeds, according to APK-Inform.

In his opinion, rise in production will be owing to soy (2.6 million tonnes) and sunflower (8.7 million tonnes). Rapeseed production will reduce to 1.1-1.2 million tonnes.

The expert also expects rise in processing of soy and rapeseeds on the Ukrainian oil-fat enterprises the next season. In the season-2012-13 production of sun oil in Ukraine is predicted at 3.5-3.6 million tonnes, exports - about three million tonnes.
