US' National Oilseed Processors Association has larger than expected soy crush for April

The National Oilseed Processors Association in the United States said April's soybean crush by member firms was 134.185 million bushels, compared to 141.813 million in March and 105.373 million in April 2004. This was greater than previously expected.

Soy meal exports during April totalled 417,783 tonnes, down 19,714 from March but 295,503 higher than April 2004. According to the NOPA, there were 3.195 million tonnes of meal produced during April, compared to 3.380 million the previous month and 2.507 million a year ago.
