Ukraine's April grain exports drop 24%

 

 

The grain exports of Ukraine fell 24% in April, agriculture researcher UkrAgroConsult said.

 

Exports fell to 2.06 million tonnes in April from 2.7 million tonnes a month earlier, the Kiev-based researcher stated by e-mail, citing preliminary data.

 

Corn exports declined to 1.43 million tonnes from 1.9 million tonnes in March and exports of wheat dropped to 494,500 tonnes from 570,000 tonnes over the same period, according to the company.

 

Since July 1, outbound shipments from Ukraine reached 10.45 million tonnes of corn, 4.3 million tonnes of wheat and 2.09 million tonnes of barley, the researcher said.
