Plukon acquires Maiski Foods

Plukon Royale Groep, a Dutch poultry producer, has acquired Belgian sector player Maiski Foods from Dossche Mills, Belgian news reported yesterday, May 16.

Financial details were not disclosed.

With the addition of Maiski Foods, Plukon currently owns three Belgian slaughterhouses. The Plukon Royale Group is made up of the Plukon Poultry Group, the Pingo Poultry Group, the Vleesch du Bois Group and Flandrex.

Maiski, which employs 90 people, generates an annual revenue of EUR 20 million (US$24.57 million).

Plukon Royale, owned by Dutch investment firm Gilde Buy Out Partners, has currently 11 production facilities in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. The company employs 2,700 and has an annual revenue of EUR 730 million (US$896.78).
