Vietnamese firm exports chicken eggs to Hong Kong
On May 11 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam's Trai Viet Ltd. Company (Vietfarm) exported the first batch of chicken eggs to Hong Kong by sea, according to the company's Director Dam Van Hoat.
This was the first time Vietfarm exported fresh chicken eggs to Hong Kong and 144,000 fresh chicken eggs are now on the way to the market to then be supplied to local supermarkets, Dat said.
Earlier, the company exported salted eggs to China and Hong Kong. All the exported eggs had been taken high-quality chicken farms and they had been carefully examined by local veterinary agencies before being exported, Dat ensured.
If the first batch of egg exports meets all standards for quality and hygiene set by the importer, Vietfarm will export some one million eggs per month to Hong Kong under the deal between it and its partner in the island.
Before starting business with Vietfarm, the Hong Kong company often imported fresh chicken eggs from the China mainland.
