Australian grain transport gets boost of US$3 million
The Australian government recently allotted US$3 million as a financial boost to develop viable solutions to New South Wales'grain transport system.
The funding further includes US$30 million over the next year to support operations on the country regional network and another US$15 million to maintain the branch line network, which includes the grain lines.
Australia's largest private rail freight operator, Pacific National, pledged to branch line operations until June 2009.
