Norway confirms ISA outbreak at salmon farm

A Norwegian salmon farm in Bø, Nordland, has confirmed an outbreak of Infectious Salmon Anaemia (ISA).

A total of 4783 cases out of the 659,881 salmon at the site were confirmed to have been infected with the disease.

The Norwegian Food Safety Authority believes that the outbreak at Skatleia is a reoccurrence.

In 2013, ISA was found at two different neighbouring locations, one of which is located a few kilometers away from Skatleia.

The mentioned sea sites are operated by the same company.
